My mum and I stayed at Waterhouse for one night during our 'Best of British' road trip (she was visiting from Australia). It was the penultimate night of our 11 nights on the road and, whilst we had been very fortunate with all of our accommodation on the previous evenings, this one absolutely took the cake, providing a 5 star experience in every aspect. We arrived in the dark & it was raining so we weren't in the best of moods. Ed showed us to our room & was really welcoming & informative. The room was very comfortable with crisp white cotton bed linen and big inviting pillows! The quality of the furnishings was high & it ensured a good nights sleep. On our... Read More »
We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel for the night before and the night of our wedding held close by at Wick Farm Barn in December 2013. We booked out the majority of the rooms to accommodate both sets of families. The rooms were a great size and beautifully decorated with stylish and contemporary designs. The spacious lounges allowed everyone... Read More »
We had a short weekend stay at this beautiful hotel for Bath Christmas shopping. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, nice view. I think I may have fully tiled the bathroom. Rather than part tiled it, but just a small point on the decor. The room was decorated lovely. And the breakfast - cooked to order and delicious. Great service from... Read More »
“A perfect weekend” 5 of 5 stars. My experience of this hotel was slightly unusual...! But in the best way imaginable! A group of 23 of us have just spent the weekend here, that was all booked as a complete surprise for me for my Hen Weekend. We had the entire hotel exclusively from Friday evening to Sunday and I could not have been more impressed... Read More »
We spent a thoroughly enjoyable Bank Holiday Sunday at the Waterhouse at our friend's hen do. Thanks Steve and Timar for all your help in making it such a special day and night! Our rooms were wonderful and we received lots of compliments from the hens about the food - especially the 'packed lunch' breakfast we took on the canal boats and the scrummy cream/afternoon tea... Booked the Waterhouse as we had a gig in Bath and wanted somewhere nice to stay so I found this gem of a hotel. Everything about out stay was pretty perfect from start to finish. We had room 2 (Shannon) which was beautifully decorated, not over the top so you feel awkward but comfortable and charming with a stunning view. We were given a very warm welcome and were made to feel right at home from the start. We opted for breakfast which was lovely (I wish I ate eggs because they looked delicious!) and the owners did everything to accomadate us. Read More »

The staff could not do too much for you and were always friendly and helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the rooms are tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds. The Breakfast and evening meal was of great quality and quantity. From the first moment we stepped into the hotel to when we left our experience was superb. We stayed overnight at the Waterhouse as we were meeting family in Bath at the weekend. The hotel is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, Steve and Timar are so friendly and welcoming. The bed was almost as comfortable as home - rarely does that happen! I would echo everything that has been said in praise of this hotel - and the views are fantastic. Read More »
Our decision to stay at the Waterhouse was a bit spontaneous but we were more than pleasantly surprised. We only spent one night for a quick visit to Bath; however, it turns out this Inn is a perfect "get-away" location and we wished we could have stayed longer. The picturesque countryside location (just outside Bath) sets the scene for a quiet retreat. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with great ensuites. The dining is fabulous. Both dinner and breakfast were elegant and 5 star. Stephen and Timar went way beyond in their hospitality. Given the opportunity, we would definitely stay here again; highly recommend. Read More »
